Redi-Rock Block Specifications
Redi-Rock blocks are made of 4,000 PSI wet-cast, architectural grade concrete in environmentally controlled conditions and weigh in at roughly one ton each. These retaining blocks are very durable offering a longer maintenance-free service life saving time and money over the life of the wall. All J&R precast Redi-Rock products are manufactured to meet or exceed all state and ASTM standards.
Because Redi-Rock blocks are bigger and heavier, Redi-Rock walls can be built up to 24 feet high before requiring tie-in reinforcements. (depending on soil conditions) This is up to 75% higher than other systems.
When it comes to aesthetic appearance and durability, Redi-Rock looks and functions great in any application where a “natural rock” wall is desired. The durability and freeze/thaw strength of Redi-Rock is unsurpassed. Redi-Rock has a proven record of endurance and sustainability.

60" Series Gravity Block: Used with 41" Series
The 60” series gravity block is the same block as the 41” block but it has a longer 60” base for more stability and a bigger load. This is the block of choice when a taller wall or system is needed and usually acts as the base layer for taller walls.
41” Series Gravity Block: Non–Reinforced Soil Walls with 41” wide blocks
0The 41″ series Gravity block is the base Redi-Rock block for many wall installations and gravity wall projects.
28" Series Gravity Block: Reinforced Soil Walls with 28” wide blocks and the Type 1AT Geo-grid connection
The 28” series blocks can be used as a gravity wall with a max height of 6 feet. The 28” block works in conjunction with the 41” series block and the 60” series block.
16" Setback Gravity Planter Block: Used with 41” Series
The 16" Setback Gravity wall block is used to attain a higher gravity wall. Used throughout the wall depending on the height required and when combined with the 41" and 60" series blocks, the 16" setback block allows designers and contractors to allow for an increased set back or layered appearance in the wall structure.
Redi-Rock Stairs
Redi-Rock stairs and steps have a great look of natural stone and work with both of our manufactured faces. These steps are uniform in size and dimensions and are a great addition to any retaining wall project. Our Redi-Rock stairs can be used alone or with an accompanying retaining wall. At 7" tall, 4' long, and 26" deep at their widest, these stairs are a great value and a great stair solution.
Freestanding Hollow Core Block
J&R Precast is proud to produce Redi-Rock’s freestanding hollow core block. Thanks to the magic of the hollow core, these blocks can easily be filled with reinforcing steel and concrete to create a massive structure with enough strength to solve some of the most frequent challenges faced by retaining wall designers and installers, including attaching a barrier to the top of a retaining wall. The hollow core blocks have both horizontal and vertical rebar inserts adding more reinforcement where and when needed.
Redi-Rock Caps
Like most retaining walls, adding a cap to the top course of the wall is a nice way to finish complete the top of a wall. Caps can add an additional layer of visual dimension to the wall and also help provide definitive sightlines. Our Redi-Rock caps are 6" tall, 28" wide, and 4' long. The Redi-Rock caps overhang our freestanding top block by 2" on each side. The Redi-Rock cap provides an enhanced aesthetic appearance with timeless charm.
